With the release of iTunes 5, my Mac OS X GUI is starting to look a lot more like my old Linux X11 days with multiple toolkits everywhere. Come on Apple. Pick one.... Please.... With sprinkles on top.
I think this is the third Mac app to get this new treatment. Apple already has Mail.app and iPhoto looking like Gnome. I was never a fan of brushed metal.
On another note I've added you to my blogroll and linked to you in a post.
I like brushed metal better than I like the look of the new iTunes. Neither are b ad per se, and neither are great. My cousin and I were talking and both wondered why Apple just didn't provide a general system theming tool, so that when they wanted to roll out a new look, everything could get it all at once. I figure if the new look is well accepted, the other iLife apps and safari will get the new look.
