I knew it! Slowly but surely, Microsoft will work towards using Gator to collect customer information. Microsoft's Antispyware software has downgraded Claria, and now the recommended action when it is detected is to "Ignore". Conspiracy theorists, have your fun with this one.

Yeah, I saw this too... I never quit using alternative spyware scanners even though I have been using MS's too. With this news, I never will either. Even though, at the moment, it still prompts you with just a lesser default option, I can only wonder how long it will be until they decide not to flag it at all... and how possible it would be for other future "deals" with other skeptical organizations.
